My Body is Ripped!

If anyone has ever tried the Insanity workout, can they tell me how long it took before they saw results? I ask because I’m seeing results in two weeks! That’s right, two! I can’t believe it. I mean I’m a fairy lean person and I thought I looked pretty good, but these workouts are making me sweat more than ever and my muscles are getting so defined that I’m getting compliments on them at work. I’m surprised people noticed! Especially when I work at the gym where there are muscles ripping all the time and other wondrous bodies to be gazing at. My co-workers have all congratulated me and thought I’ve been working harder, but I have just switched from my former DVDs to this one and I’m loving it! I don’t know whether I should get on the scale because I might get discouraged by a muscle weight gain, but I guess weight doesn’t really matter if you’re looking awesome!

When my husband knew that I bought Bodylastics Resistance bands, the first thing he asked me is if it’s worth the price. Instead of overwhelming him with information of the details of this workout system, I asked him to join me in each exercise session.

Weekends are our only free time. During weekdays, my husband is totally worked up at the office while I have my hands full preparing the kids for school. So we spend at least 2 hours per day on weekends for our workout.

My cousin was a real fan of dancing when she was younger, but after getting married and having three kids, she sort of let herself go and gained over thirty pounds in the space of a few years. It really noticed when she looked at old photos of her before she was married, so she decided it was time to make some changes. She had heard about the Zumba Fitness DVD craze that was sweeping like a wild fire across the planet, so she decided that this was the way she was going to lose that weight and get back to her old size.

Well, she worked like crazy dancing her heart out every day to that DVD set and also changed her diet to a more healthy one with plenty of fresh foods, fruits and vegetables. The exciting Latin beats to the music that accompanied the DVDs were just the thing for my cousin and inside of three months, she had amazingly lost the thirty pounds she wanted to and had toned up her body so that it looked really great. She is now so happy and can stand in front of a full length mirror proudly while comparing herself with those old photos. As soon as I moved from New Jersey to Huntington Beach, I was surprised by all the active/fit people I saw running down the Huntington pier or biking down PCH. Being into fitness myself, I felt like I had arrived. I’d fit right in!

However, after years of working out on my own I noticed I wasn’t getting the results I wanted. I would run and bike and swim and lift weights, and I even did a triathlon, but I didn’t have the defined arms and toned thighs that I wanted. I started to dread my workouts. Plus I did the same thing every time and had no idea how to make my workouts more effective.

So, I did some research. Exercise videos didn’t keep my attention and I got bored. I tried magazine workouts and they were always too confusing and hard to follow. I never knew if I was doing the exercise correctly. I tried classes at the gym I went to in Huntington Beach, but I felt lost in the crowd because it always seemed like everyone knew what they were doing and so I spent the hour trying to figure out what we were doing and didn’t get a good workout in.

My last hope was to find a Personal Trainer in Huntington Beach. I had never wanted to workout with a personal trainer because I thought I knew what I was doing. Boy was I wrong! It is important that with any exercise regime you are clear about why you are doing it in the first place. Many people embark on a fitness regime and give up half way through due to a lack of focus and motivation. You should know which one is tightly marketed. It means that the item you are supposed to be buying is copyrighted. You are assured that what you are getting is not against the rules of the law and is not a fake. You should also check the people who have tried the product and confirm if it is working.

When I was thinking about buying the P90X workout program, I made a background checked and I was impressed by Tony Horton’s credentials.

A healthy play environment sustains and maintains the involvement of individuals with different abilities in physical and social activities for multigenerational, inclusive play. If you are in charge of playground activities, try to organize the play setting in order to provide a variety of forms (parallel, cooperative, autonomous, etc.) and types (social, constructive, physical, etc.) of play so that every child can be happy and have fun. Also, present a variety of social and physical activities in order to catch all children’s attention and develop their own particular aptitudes. Furthermore, offer choices in the manner of participation and use; try to encourage multigenerational, inclusive play. A possible way of doing that is by creating social gathering spaces where children of all abilities can be included.

The play environment offers the children the chance to explore and take part in the act of “playing” at their own level. The play environment, therefore, should be designed with various multi-sensory traits that are organized to offer meaningful signals. Children of all ages should be encouraged to play together and share experience; the elder children could even teach the small ones how to play with different school playground equipment or how to play certain games.
